TRACE / SEPTEMBER 2026 CAPABILITY SPOTLIGHT

Meet the expanded TRACE.

Construction intelligence. Drawing and model review. Tools shaped around your work. Connected in one platform.

September 2026 capability spotlight. TRACE’s expanded web platform connects construction records, evidence-grounded intelligence, internal drawing/model review and guided customer tools. This announcement summarizes documented capability paths; it is not a claim that every feature shipped on a single date.

Four ways the platform goes deeper.

01 / TRACE Intelligence

Project-context assistance, permission-scoped evidence retrieval, PDF/OCR sources, cited answers, reviewable drafts and supported proof exports. Explore TRACE Intelligence.

02 / CAD, BIM and federated VDC review

Internal DWG review with 2D/source XYZ controls, IFC object inspection and sectioning, plus deployed multi-model IFC federation with explicit coordinate frames, bounded transforms, source/geometry integrity checks and accountable cross-model issue review. Terrain surfaces remain explicitly labeled previews; native Revit authoring/translation and certified full clash detection are separate capabilities. Explore CAD and BIM review.

03 / Connected project controls

RFIs, submittals, daily reports, schedules, commercial records, compliance and closeout share the authorized project context. Explore project controls.

04 / App Factory and inventory

Guided trackers, forms, dashboards and supported inventory workflows extend the customer workspace. Automated generation remains subject to provider and account readiness. Explore App Factory.

Latest intelligence and operations improvements.

The September 9 release adds source-specific official research, updated telephone interruption and turn-taking, and in-product support guidance with a route to a human support ticket. Support topic selection stays separate from project-record approval.

The updated guide now includes device-access requirements for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. Availability follows the applicable client/browser, module, graphics support, permissions and connected services.

Commercial availability: plans remain quote-based. Live paid activation depends on merchant, webhook and plan configuration plus financial acceptance; published pricing does not establish payment readiness.

Depth you can inspect.

At publication on September 9, the guide contained 455 documented availability statements across 43 sections. The live capability register has since expanded; use the current searchable guide for today’s scope. It includes 24 original workflow guides and eight retained federal publications totaling 524 PDF pages.

What the announcement does not imply. Availability depends on module, authority, source readiness and services. Candidate and roadmap areas are labeled separately. TRACE does not autonomously approve work, author native Revit designs, provide an accepted full operational digital twin or guarantee native client parity.
